National Café au Lait Day is celebrated annually on February 17 in the United States to celebrate one of the most popular coffee drinks — latte. On this day, coffee lovers can enjoy its smooth taste and celebrate the art of coffee craftsmanship, because making a latte is a real art, where both technique and presentation are important.

The word "latte" comes from the Italian language and literally means "coffee with milk" (caffè latte). A classic latte is made from one shot of espresso and hot milk, with a small amount of milk foam added on top. Thanks to its smooth taste and harmonious combination of coffee and milk, latte is popular all over the world.

This day is a great reason to treat yourself to a delicious latte, learn more about its preparation and, perhaps, try something new, for example, making a latte at home or mastering the elements of latte art.
